New Month, New Featured Print
Wow, I can’t believe we have begun October already. The time is just moving by so quickly. It seems like just yesterday I was getting ready for the summer. Well, since it is a new month that means we have a new featured print. You can see our featured print in the right hand column on each page on our website. I thought though that it might be a good idea to do a post about it this month and give you a little background on the image.
“October Afternoon” is one of my favorite images in the gallery. However, it’s not purely because of it’s aesthetic qualities but rather because of the memories it brings back. As the title suggests, it was taken on an October afternoon. A Saturday more specifically. I was in Alberta visiting the farm of a good friend of mine. We decided to go for a walk and luckily enough I had my camera with me. I loved the way the yellow leaves were looking against the blue of the sky but I didn’t really see anything that said “take my picture". That is until we rounded a bend and we came upon this scene. I can’t say that there was any one particular thing that drew me to this scene but if I did have to choose it would probably be a combination of the leading lines and the mixture of colors.
Like all featured prints, “October Afternoon” is available in the shop for 50% off all month.

I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
